The need is great, and we need your help. This is a crucial time for the Ranch as we seek to expand our capacity to better serve these boys and reunite them with their families. It is easy to feel as though you must give in a big way to make a difference… this simply is not the case. Donations of any kind can help make a lasting impact on a young life.

All donations are put directly to the needs of the Ranch including operations, facilities, staff salaries, educational materials, and more. In addition to financial support there are numerous ways to participate in this ministry.

A big part of what we strive to do at the ranch is help ensure that our boys recieve the best possible education. To this end, we have provided a list of specific items that we are in need of. Volunteer

Many hands truly do make light work. We have been blessed to have many individuals and groups share in our vision for seeing young lives touched by God’s grace. With 224 acres of undeveloped land, we have much need for volunteer work parties to help with land improvements. If you would like to help in any way we can certainly put your time to great use.
 

Memorial Program

 The Chestnut Mountain Ranch Memorial Program is one way people can recognize the loved ones in their lives. Not only do these memorial gifts bless the honorees, they help provide for the care and welfare of our children at risk in West Virginia and support the overall mission of the Ranch. In addition to the Memorial Program we are now selling specially designed pavers (large and small) that are placed in the new Ranch Memorial Garden.  You can honor or memorialize a loved one.  A regular paver is standard brick size and is $75, and a large paver is $175.

Car Donation Program

Donate your used car, van, truck, boat with a trailer, or recreational vehicle to Chestnut Mountain Ranch, seven days a week, 24 hours a day. The proceeds from the sale of our donated vehicles help to provide a Christ-centered school and home for boys in crisis and in need of hope and healing. Your donation is as easy as filling out our online auto donation form.

We accept any vehicles regardless of age and condition!

Vehicle donations made to Chestnut Mountain Ranch are tax deductible. Our organization has been designated by the IRS as a 501c (3) charity. The best practice is to consult with a tax professional on how to maximize your tax deduction since every car donation and tax situation is unique. In general, the IRS limits the tax deduction to the gross proceeds from the sale of the car, truck, or other vehicle. Charitable contributions must be itemized on Schedule A of Form 1040 to qualify. If the gross proceeds exceed $500, Form 1098C “Contributions of Motor Vehicles, Boats, and Airplanes” and Form 8283 "Non Cash Charitable Contributions", must also be completed and attached. Forms 1098C and 8283 are required to be provided to the donor within 30 days of the sale of the vehicle.

Chestnut Mountain Ranch has partnered with Melwood Charity Car Donation Center, a non-profit agency, to manage and operate our vehicle donation program. Melwood, since 1963 has provided job training and employment for over 2,000 individuals with disabilities.
